Bob was a colourful member of the NSW Branch committee and one of the organisers of the Seventh International Coal Preparation Congress held in Sydney in 1976. His service is listed below:

Bob Booth emigrated from England to Australia in the mid 1960s and joined Clutha Coal as Chief Coal preparation Engineer.
