Darren has been a long-standing member of the NSW branch committee and has had significant involvement with conferences, education and publications. His service is listed below: 

NSW Committee:

• 12 years on the Committee – 1999-2000 to 2006-07 and then 2011-12 to present 

National Board:

• 7 years on the Committee – between 2000-01 and 2008-09 

Conference Committees:

• 1 Local Organising Committee 
• 6 Technical Subcommittees
• 3 times Editor of Proceedings 

Other Contributions:

• Lecturer at General and Advanced Coal Preparation Courses
• Published three revised monographs and a revision of the “Principles of Coal Preparation” as ACPS Publications Director
• Edited one monograph and the ACARP DMC Handbook
• Authored three chapters of the revised ACPS Monograph Series 

Darren worked at Goonyella/Riverside, Moura, Norwich Park, Peak Downs and Warkworth coal mines, and has held a number of roles in service companies including Bechtel Services, Tema/Multotec and Quality Process Solutions.
