Prominent Persons

Terry served on the New South Wales Branch committee and presented with a Service Award for his support of the Society and the Industry. His service is listed below: 

NSW Committee:

• 4 years on the Committee – 1981-82 until 1984-85 

Other Contributions:

• Ted was a great innovator in using new techniques and equipment and he shared his experiences by way of presentations to the Society and allowing visits to his coal washeries.
• Assisted with technical, educational and social aspects of the Society activities. 

Ted started his working life at the Newcastle Steelworks CPP and then moved to the South Coast working for Bellambi and Kembla Coal & Coke (Coal Cliff and West Cliff), before embarking on a political career in the NSW Parliament. He also provided advice through his own consultancy called Coal Tec Pty Ltd.
